November 1, 2022 - DHS Launches New COVID-19 Treatment Telehealth Program
To help ease access to COVID-19 treatment, Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) has partnered with telehealth vendor, Color Health, to launch the initial phase of a COVID-19 Treatment Telehealth program. The initial phase of the COVID-19 Treatment Telehealth program will offer Wisconsin residents free consultation and prescription services to increase access to COVID-19 antiviral treatments Paxlovid and Lageviro.
Those who are eligible include Wisconsin residents who are 18 years or older, regardless of insurance status, who have tested positive for COVID-19 and whose symtom onset is fewer than 5 days earlier. There is no cost for individuals to utilize this service, it will be available in a variety of languages, and if you do not have access to a smartphone or the internet, you can access this service by phone from a landline (number will be available following launch of the program).
DHS plans to implement the program statewide starting in early November following the initial phase of the program.
