Know Your COVID-19 Community Level and Current Masking Guidance

On February 25, 2022, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced their new guidance and recommendations regarding COVID-19 Community Levels. New COVID-19 hospital admissions and the percent of staffed inpatient beds occupied represent the current potential for strain on the health system. Data on new cases acts as an early warning indicator of potential increases in health system strain in the event of a COVID-19 surge. Using this data, the COVID-19 community level of spread is classified as low, medium, or high. For more information and to check Brown County's current COVID-19 Community Level (which may fluctuate), visit https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/your-health/covid-by-county.html

Brown County Public Health continues to recommend that everyone get vaccinated, get tested, and stay home when you are sick.

Isolation Calculator

The CDC offers a tool to help determine how long you need to isolate if you have tested positive for COVID-19, as well as other steps to take to prevent spreading COVID-19. It only takes a few minutes to answer a series of brief questions, you do not need to enter any personal information, and the results are displayed immediately on the screen.

**As of 8/11/22, the CDC no longer recommends quarantining if you were exposed to COVID-19, but to wear a mask for 10 days and test on day 5. Due to this change, the quarantine calculator has been removed from the tool.
