Brown County Parks continues to take precautionary measures to limit the spread of COVID-19. If you choose to use the parks at this time please use the following guidelines during COVID-19.:
  1. Practice physical distancing and avoid close contact with others outside your household. The CDC recommends maintaining a distance of six feet from others.
  2. Keep our parks safe; please stay home if you are sick.
  3. Visitors are encouraged to bring hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes with them.
  4. Practice good personal hygiene. Wash or sanitize your hands after touching surfaces. Avoid touching your face.
  5. We are doing our best to maintain expected levels of service, however we do not have normal staffing levels and are not able to wipe and sanitize all surfaces.
  6. Fees are required to be paid for certain park uses. Pay stations at boat landings, trails and the dog park now have paper pass payment options, but pens are not in place.  It is further recommended that you make your daily or annual pass payment online before your visit.
  7. Restrooms and other park amenities may not be open based on staffing levels and we ask that you plan ahead of your visit.
Opening Schedule:
  • All parks, landings, trails and outdoor green spaces remain open.
  • The park office will open May 26th.  Please call ahead to confirm staff are available before your visit.
  • Campgrounds will open May 26th, shower rooms and some restrooms will remain closed.
  • Playgrounds and restroom buildings remain closed at this time, and will be opened when adequate staffing levels are approved.
