Barkhausen's Summer Camps

Barkhausen Waterfowl Preserve will again be offering the below summer camps in 2023! Campers will enjoy a variety of outdoor activities that will make life-long memories.

Barkhausen's Wild Child Summer Camp, created for ages 5-9 years

Wild Child Summer Camp is 4 half days filled with outdoor adventures that offer a unique opportunity for the kiddos to enjoy! Each day campers will make new discoveries and have fun as they explore the natural world. Campers will catch critters in a wetland, going on nature hikes as well as scavenger hunts, making crafts, and much more. You can expect campers to get dirty, be challenged and have lots of stories to share.

We are offering the below 5 sessions:

June 12-15
June 26-29
July 10-13
July 24-27
August 7-10

Registration Information: Registration will open at 9am on Monday, January 23, 2023. Camp cost is $80 per child for all 4 half days and includes a t-shirt and water bottle. We highly recommend creating an account and/or logging into the registration site before Monday, January 23 as spots are limited and can fill quickly. If you have any questions regarding creating and/or confirming an account, please give the Parks Office a call at (920) 448-6242 (Monday-Friday, 8am to 4:30pm).

Refund Policy: If cancelling before two weeks prior to the camp's start date, a refund will be given minus a 20% administrative fee. If cancelling within two weeks of the camp's start date, no refund will be given.

Wild Child Camps run Monday through Thursday from 9am to 12pm.

Barkhausen's Adventure Summer Camp, created for ages 10-13 years

Adventure Camp offers a jam-packed day filled with outdoor challenges and exploration! During our Adventure Camp, campers will explore the woods and wetlands at Barkhausen, play outdoor games, and put their survival skills to the test creating fun summer memories!

We are offering the below 2 sessions:

Tuesday, July 18, 2023

Refund Policy: A full refund will be given if cancelling prior to 2 weeks before camp start. If cancelling within 2 weeks of camp start a refund will be given less a $10 cancellation fee.

Adventure Camp is held from 9am to 2pm.
