- Beginning in 2026 The Department will begin planning and construction of the upper park Master Plan including entrance additions, upper parking lot, and more. Once complete, work will shift to the harbor in future years. Download

Fairgrounds Strategic Master Plan- The Department is currently working with an Engineer firm on the riverfront trail design, including campsites near the river and a building assessment. Construction on the trail and campsites is expected to occur in 2026. Download
Late 2025 the Department will remove the gazebo from Pamperin Park and install a new open air shelter, which will be available for rent in 2026. Download
Fall 2025 the Reforestation Camp will have a new playground installed near the Pines Shelter located across the street from the NEW Zoo in the lower parking lot. Download
The L.H. Barkhausen Waterfowl Preserve Nature Center will be remodeled in 2026.
The Department has been awarded a Wisconsin Coastal Management Grant to enhance Wequiock Falls in 2026. This project will enhance accessibility by replacing scenic viewing platforms, incorporate safer stairs, and will feature the addition of educational boards highlighting the park’s natural features, explaining how Wequiock Falls and its waters play a meaningful role in both the local ecosystem and the health of the Bay of Green Bay.
