Information regarding Brown County Parks Campgrounds

Bay Shore Campground

Bay Shore Park is located along the Bay of Green Bay at 5637 Sturgeon Bay Road in New Franken, WI, and is about 15 miles NE of Green Bay on State Highway 57.

Bay Shore Park was the site of the Rockwood Lodge, where the Green Bay Packers trained and lived from 1946-1950. Unfortunately, the Lodge burned down in January of 1950, marking the end of an era at Bay Shore Park. Another era soon started once Brown County purchased the property and established Bay Shore County Park, its campground, and its boat launch.
