Ariel photo of Reforestation Camp's Ski LodgeWith over 1,400 acres, the E.J. "Ollie" Smith Reforestation Camp offers a variety of outdoor activities for every age. Picnicking, fishing and hiking around the Camp's many small ponds are popular summer activities. For the outdoor enthusiast, miles of scenic trails running throughout the Camp and provide the opportunity for hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding. In the winter months, the Reforestation Camp is a favorite winter recreation area with its miles of expertly groomed cross-country ski trails (including lighted trails), fat tire bike trails and snowmobile trails. Each autumn hunters take advantage of the Brown County Rifle Range, located in the northeast portion of the Camp, to sight-in their firearms.

Wintertime trails: dawn-11:00pm
Campground area: 6:00am-10:00pm for setup/takedown, all visitors must vacate before 10:00pm

Shelter Reservations
The Reforestation Camp has two indoor shelters available for rental. The Pines Shelter is available for rental from April 1st to November 30th. The Ski Lodge is available from April 1st to November 30th; after November 30th only half of the shelter (also known as the Meeting Room) is available for rental. For more information, click here.
