The Brown County Community Treatment Center's acute care hospital provides psychiatric care for people who are in a crisis (situational stressors and/or mental illness) period of their lives -- they are considered to be a danger to themselves or others and hospitalized usually on a short-term basis. Clients may be admitted through voluntary or involuntary methods.
The Crisis Center is involved in prescreening clients and authorizing emergency admissions.
