Local Emergency Planning Committee
The mission of the Brown County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) is to help develop emergency response plans to prepare and respond to chemical emergencies,
and to inform the community about hazardous chemicals that reside in Brown County.
The LEPC consists of voting members of the rescue industry, county emergency government, hospitals, transporters and the news media. Members are assigned to one of our standing committees when the committees are active.
Public meetings are conducted a minimum of six times each year every other month beginning in January. Meetings begin at 1:30 PM and are held at various sites throughout the county.
Right to Know Request
Under the Emergency Planning and Community Right to Know Act (EPCRA), certain information is available to the public. Use the Right to Know Request form for information requests to the LEPC.
All meeting times will be held on the second Tuesday of every odd month at 1:30 PM unless otherwise noted on the agenda. Please contact the Office of Emergency Management at (920) 391-7431 for meeting locations.
