December 14, 2020 - Meggan Daniels and Thomas Sevcik Present at Wisconsin 4-H 2020 Fall Forum
The Wisconsin State 4-H Shooting Sports program would like to recognize Meggan Daniels, Pierce County, Town and Country 4-H Club and Thomas Sevcik, Brown County 4-H Shooting Sports Club for presenting at the Wisconsin 4-H 2020 Virtual Fall Forum.
Meggan and Thomas' presentation titled 4-H Shooting Sports Aims Youth at Life Skill Targets, was very well attended and received great feedback. Meggan shared the valuable growth and development opportunities she has experienced through a career in 4-H Shooting Sports, from local events to her national achievements. She also shared her recent National 4-H Shooting Sports Ambassador Training experience on how to mentor other youth in developing shooting sports leadership programs. Meggan’s presentation was an inspiration to others to take full advantage of what 4-H Shooting Sports has to offer.
Thomas gave a preview of a new computer program to expand wildlife teachings for the shooting sports curriculum. This tool will also assist in keeping clubs connected during this time of separation but can also be used in the future when clubs will be able to meet face to face again. Thomas’ introduction to virtual learning was an invitation to participants to explore new approaches to making distance learning both educational and fun. His knowledge of using Google Forms to create challenging wildlife and conservation quizzes was a demonstration of future educational activities coming to 4-H Shooting Sports.
Thanks to Meggan and Thomas for their leadership in 4-H Shooting Sports.
