The mission of the Brown County Medical Examiner’s Office is to establish the identity of human remains, to provide accurate certification of the cause and manner of death, and to identify, document, and interpret forensic scientific information for use in the investigation of violent, suspicious, and sudden unexpected deaths and in criminal and civil legal proceedings.
The agency is committed to the dignified and compassionate performance of these duties with impartiality and the highest level of professionalism in the service of the citizens of Brown County and its medical and legal communities. |
