The Brown County Planning Commission is an Areawide Coordinating Agency under Wisconsin's Areawide Water Quality Management Program (CWA Section 208, Federal Code of Regulations, Chapter 130), and serves as the contract agency for the Fox Valley Water Quality Planning Area, carrying out water quality planning work in urban service areas (areas with sewer service) for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
The Brown County Planning Commission updated it's 2040 Brown County Urban Service Area Water Quality Plan in Feburary 2023, and was approved by the DNR in September 2023.
