
The Green Bay MPO is required to develop a Long-Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) in order to recieve federal funding for transportation projects. The LRTP sets the vision for all modes of travel throughout the Green Bay Metropolitan Planning Area (MPA). The LRTP is updated every 5 years to respond to the changing transportation needs, and economic and population growth in the MPA.

Green Bay MPO staff is in the process of updating its plan. The plan is scheduled for completion and submission to FHWA in October 2025. Draft chapters will be posted for review. Please check back.

Previous Plans
To fulfill the requirements of Fixing America’s Surface Transportation (FAST) Act and maximize the efficiency, accessibility, and safety of the Metropolitan Planning Area’s transportation system, the goals and objectives of the Green Bay MPO 2045 Long-Range Transportation Plan are designed to be consistent with the seven federally-mandated surface transportation elements and to be as precise and measureable as possible.
