Planning Commission staff members also frequently attend municipal meetings and mediate municipal boundary agreements.
The Brown County Planning Commission provides planning assistance and advice to municipalities on a variety of planning related subjects. Our staff attends numerous community meetings to assist and offer advice to municipal officials concerning various planning questions and problems. In addition to general planning advice to officials and citizens, staff works on specific projects for municipalities. Staff has worked on numerous projects involving municipal comprehensive plans and zoning ordinances and maps. The comprehensive plans and zoning ordinances that have been worked on by the Planning Office can be viewed at the Planning Office. It should be cautioned however, that the communities may amend the plans and ordinances, therefore, it may be best to contact the local community for the most up-to-date version.
