Communicable Disease
Public Health Staff work to decrease illness in the community by preventing diseases that spread from person to person, animal to person, and the environment to person. Public Health assures treatment, monitors disease rates and trends, guides public and private strategies to prevent infections and notifies/educates the public about disease outbreaks.
