As Morgan struggles to survive alone, he encounters another survivor who challenges his understanding of the plague—and his place in the world.

Directed by Sidney Salkow and Ubaldo Ragona, this atmospheric science fiction horror film was filmed on location in Rome and was the first of three film adaptations of Matheson’s novel.
