The Brown County Jail currently houses 11 pods broken down into:
5 indirect pods
1 segregation, 2 female pods, 1 max security, and 1 assessment pod
4 direct supervision pods
1 juvenile pod
1 inmate worker pod
A future expansion would include an additional 128 beds allowing for flexibility in the jail to house inmates by various classification levels and genders.
The jail has approximately 160 sworn and non-sworn employees including:
Captain
Correctional officers
Intake corporals
Housing corporals
Training corporal
Juvenile superintendent
Lieutenants (watch commanders, security Lieutenant and work release lieutenant)
Accountants
Receptionists
EMP records specialist
Jail Chaplain- volunteers at the jail and supports the staff and inmates.
