The Village of Allouez is noted as one of Wisconsin’s oldest communities and currently has a population of approximately 14,000. The Brown County Sheriff’s Office has provided contracted police services to the Village of Allouez since 1967.
Allouez currently contracts with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office to have a Deputy on duty for 24 hour police coverage. Allouez also contracts for one Directed Enforcement Officer. The Directed Enforcement Officer focuses on community oriented policing strategies to solve and/or prevent problems in the Village. The Directed Enforcement Officer also assists the Village in equipment and budget matters.
Deputy Vogel patrols the Village, responds to calls for service, investigates criminal violations, assists other law enforcement agencies, performs traffic enforcement, and assists the Village and its residents as needed.
