DEO's Pigeon and RuskThe Village of Denmark is located within the town of New Denmark and has a population of approximately 2,100 residents. Denmark was settled by Danish immigrants in 1848, and has been referred to, along with Hartland, Wisconsin, as the "nuclei” of what developed into one of the most important regions of Danish immigration in the United States. The Village of Denmark was established in 1915 after evolving from the Town of Denmark.

Denmark began contracting with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office for law enforcement services in 2017. This law enforcement service is provided in the form of two Directed Enforcement Officers (DEOs), as well as BCSO deputies. The Directed Enforcement Officers, John Pigeon and Jeremiah Rusk focus on community oriented policing strategies. These strategies include community engagement, problem solving, crime prevention, traditional law enforcement and partnerships. The Directed Enforcement Officers also assist the Village in equipment and budget matters. The DEOs and deputies patrol the Village, respond to calls for service, investigate criminal violations, assist other law enforcement agencies, perform traffic enforcement and assist the Village and its residents as needed.

The Denmark Village Hall is located at 118 E. Main St, Denmark, WI 5420
