June 17, 2022 - Understanding Brown County's COVID-19 Community Levels
As of yesterday, Brown County's COVID-19 community level was downgraded to low. We understand that there are questions regarding why this level changes as often as it does and hope that this helps to provide answers to some of those questions. The CDC uses the following 3 metrics to determine each county's current risk level, which is updated every Thursday:
- Total new COVID-19 cases per 100,000 population in the past 7 days
- New COVID-19 hospital admissions per 100,000 people in the past 7 days
- The percent of staffed inpatient hospital beds occupied by COVID-19 patients
Please visit CDC COVID Data Tracker: County View for a breakdown of our weekly metrics.
You can also call the Brown County COVID-19 resource line at 920-448-6400 and choose option 3 to speak with a COVID-19 Specialist. They are available to answer COVID-related questions Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm.
