March 14, 2023 - 4-H Afterschool Lego Robotics Program

The Brown County 4-H Afterschool program, currently operating in three elementary schools in the Green Bay Public Schools, is reaching young people, kindergarten through 5th grade, with robotics and coding using Lego Robotics. While it appears the skills being learned are all about engineering and design, coding and programming, the program is also designed to give young people the opportunity to learn communication, critical thinking, decision making, problem solving, and collaboration. 4-H Program Instructors lead young people through building, designing and programming, and provide space for youth choices to be made on how the robot looks, moves and interacts.
