Come join us and get back to having fun with food In Person!  Open to all 4-H youth including Cloverbuds.  The Food Review allows 4-H'ers to participate in their own version of a Cooking Competition!  The goal for this year is to be fun and educational, so youth know what to expect for future Food Revues.  There will be a fun activity for youth to participate in while waiting for their food to be judged.

How to Start: Find the category for your participant (in the sign-up) and pick a recipe to go with that category.  Make that recipe and bring to the event along with a recipe card to display (index cards work great); older grades may have additional requirements.  Once at the event, set your food up just like you would serve it to someone, this includes plating.  Depending on the food you make your plating may include silverware and a napkin or a bowl and cup.  Placemats always help spruce up your presentation; if you are a Cloverbud, your placemat may be something you drew yourself!  There will be different examples of plating there to show participants various options for the future.  If you have extra to share, feel free to bring it for others to try!

What to expect with Judging:  Know your food; is it a vegetable, fruit, dairy, protein, ect...  How did you make it?  What were your ingredients?  What did you learn?  Do you like how it tastes?  Why did you pick this recipe?  Was this a new experience for you?  Youth don't need to know all the answers, Judges are looking that youth learned something and were the ones to make the recipe (guidance when appropriate).  Focus on helping youth present their recipe with the goals to build confidence and learning with food.

Junior Members and Adult Volunteers will be needed to help with registration and be extra set of hands during the event.  If you are available, please contact Trisha Meulemans via email: or text/phone: 920-606-3647.

We are looking to bringing this event back in person!
