FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: 77th Art Annual Juried Exhibition Now Open at the Neville Public Museum
Green Bay, WI---November 1, 2022--- The 77th Art Annual exhibit is an all-media, juried exhibition of current artworks produced by artists living in the counties of Northeastern Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. A total of 51 artworks by regional artists are represented in is show juried by Jan Mirenda Smith.
This juried art exhibition began in 1942 during the height of World War II. For three-quarters of a century, many of this region’s most celebrated and talented artists have exhibited their work as part of this Green Bay tradition.
“The works entered in the Neville Public Museum’s Art Annual reflect the broad spectrum of creative endeavors in this northeastern part of Wisconsin. They represented heritage, tradition, an affinity to nature, traditional crafts, strength in varied media, as well as commentary on contemporary culture.” -- Jan Mirenda Smith
We are pleased to announce:
- 1st Place is awarded to Andrew Linskens (Green Bay) for his Acrylic on canvas artwork entitled Path of Totality
- 2nd Place is awarded to Daniela Kouzov (Green Bay) for her Bisque Fired Porcelain artwork entitled Water I
- 3rd Place is awarded to Jon Wos (Oshkosh) for his Oil on Canvas artwork entitled Foraging For Midnight Oil
- Honorable Mention is awarded to Terri Warpinski (De Pere) for her Mixed Media artwork entitled Land/Trust: A Field Study of Recovery
