FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: I Am Not Invisible Traveling Exhibition opens Saturday
Green Bay, WI—July 1, 2022--The War Memorial Center I Am Not Invisible traveling exhibit highlights local women veterans and current military personnel and their military service experience in every branch and from every service era from WWII through the present.
Created in partnership with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Center for Women Veterans, this exhibit tells the stories of 31 Milwaukee-area women veterans and current military service personnel, plus one war correspondent who embedded with Wisconsin troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. The bios provide an honest look at what it means to serve, and the opportunities open to women – and the challenges they face – in the U.S. military.
