April 2, 2021 - "Spectacular Science" Exhibition Opening This Saturday!
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Spectacular Science Exhibition Opening This Saturday!
Green Bay, WI—April 2, 2021— Spectacular Science is the Neville Public Museum’s’ newest gallery focused on subjects of science. This exhibit provides the museum the opportunity to present four different mini science exhibits with hands on experiences. The design of creating four mini exhibits will allow a rotation of topics and provide new experiences each year once open.
“I am very excited for visitors to experience Spectacular Science,” said James Peth Museum Research Technician and Curator of the exhibit. “Creating four mini exhibits (Birds, Bees, Engineering Marvels, and Germs) gives us the opportunity to showcase artifacts from our collection that aren’t currently on display. The Birds section of the exhibit features over 150 specimens including taxidermy, eggs, and nests. I am also excited that the Engineering Marvels section will display recently acquired film showcasing the construction of Lambeau Field.”
Spectacular Science has also allowed the museum to partner with organizations in our community. Videos in the exhibit allow guests to see N.E.W. Zoo zookeepers at work or hear a Brown County Public Health professional talk about how they work through the pandemic. Working with these partners enhances these exhibits and provides great opportunities to learn more about organizations in our community.
Spectacular Science is located on the museum’s first floor and will rotate a themed section once a year.
