NOTICE TO ALL
BROWN COUNTY DOG OWNERS
 

Pursuant to §174.07 (1)(a), Wisconsin Statutes, except as provided in §174.054, a dog license is necessary for the keeping of any dog over 5 months of age.
 
Further, rabies vaccinations are required, §95.21 (2)(a), Wisconsin Statutes, at no later than five 5 months of age and revaccinated within one year after the initial vaccination. If the owner obtains the dog or brings the dog into the state after the dog has reached 5 months of age, the owner shall have the dog vaccinated within 30 days or must provide proof of prior vaccination. In addition, all dogs shall be revaccinated when their rabies certificate expires. A certificate documenting that the dog’s rabies vaccinations are current shall be presented to the Municipal Clerk/Treasurer when obtaining an annual dog license.
