Order Copies of Real Estate Documents
In Person:
Real Estate documents are available for purchase by coming into our office during normal business hours. The cost is $2 for the first page and $1 for each additional page per document. Certification is an additional $1 per document.
Payment options: Cash, Credit/Debit (additional fees apply) and Cashier's Check or Money Order (personal checks are not accepted).
Online:
LexisNexis/VitalChek-For your convenience, you can process online requests through an independent company that has partnered with the Brown County Register of Deeds Office to provide this service. There will be extra fees added for this service; all major credit cards accepted.
Tapestry-Is a pay as you go internet access program designed for the occasional user; Visa & MasterCard accepted.
Tapestry offers access to real estate documents recorded in Brown County and other counties in the Midwest. In Brown County, Document Images and Grantor/Grantee Index are available from 2/1/1962-present.
Fees are assessed to pay for support and maintenance of the system.
Mail:
If you know the document number and or Volume/Page or Jacket/Image, year the document was recorded, and number of pages so that you can calculate the fee, you can send a request by mail along with payment.
